Celebrate life together, married for 49 years. Happy anniversary, Jan, my dearest. We have known each other for over half a century and married for almost as long.

You left Rhode Island in 1971 with your wedding gown in a bag, slung on your shoulder and came to be with me in Adana, Turkey. Thank you for taking that risk and being with me for all these years.

We finally saw the guy from Adana and the girl from Rhode Island. Love is all around you and everywhere, both in these pictures and ever since.
